Katonah Village Library offers pop-up book sales each year. We are fortunate to have a dedicated group of volunteers who organize and run these labor intensive events. Additional volunteers are always welcome! Contact info@katonahlibrary.org for more information on how to get involved. Proceeds supplement the library budget and help us to provide additional programming and resources for our community. These book sales are widely promoted on social media and through our email news, website, and event calendar.
We accept book donations periodically, depending on the availability of storage space, volunteers and the schedule of upcoming book sales. Please make sure to call the library or check the home page of our website to find out whether we are accepting donations before bringing any over. Gently-used hardcover books, paperbacks, and audiobooks are accepted. Please remember, if you would not give it to a friend, please do not donate it to the book sale. Your donation is tax-deductible. The Library will provide a letter acknowledging receipt of donated items upon request. Determination of quantity and value are the responsiblity of the donor alone.
Please note that we cannot accept the following items:
- Any books that have water damage, mold damage, missing pages or are heavily marked up
- Encyclopedias or dictionaries
- Reader’s Digest condensed books
- DVDs, music, CDs, VCR tapes or cassette tapes
- Magazines
- Phone books
- Mass market paperbacks
