Enjoy free admission to several area museums/attractions!
The following museum passes are available to adult Town of Bedford library cardholders in good standing. (The Town of Bedford includes the Katonah Village Library, Bedford Free Library and Bedford Hills Free Library):
DIA: Free admission for up to 4 adults.
Empire Park Pass: The Empire Pass permits vehicle access to most facilities operated by the
New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and the New York
State Department of Environmental Conservation. This includes admission to 179 state parks, 55 Department of Environmental Conservation forest preserve areas, boat launch sites, arboretums and park preserves.
Guggenheim: Free express admission for up to four adults or students. Plus $5 admission for a maximum of two additional guests. Children under 12 years of age are always free.
Intrepid: Free admission for 2 adults and 2 children. Patrons must bring library card with the pass for complimentary admission on the day of the visit.
Katonah Museum of Art: Free Admission for 2 adults and all children under 18.
MoMA: Free admission for five people. May purchase up to five additional guest tickets @ $5, per person, per visit.
Museum of the City of New York: Free admission for 2 adults and 4 children under 18.
9/11 Memorial & Museum: Free admission for 2 adults and 2 children under 18.
Storm King Art Center: Free 6-person car admission. Admission is limited to one car per day, per Membership.
Westchester Children’s Museum: COMING SOON Free admission for 4 people.
How To Borrow a Museum Pass
- When planning a visit, please call the museum ahead of time to check hours, museum description, restrictions or to check on closures. This is not the Katonah Libary’s responsibility.
- Museum passes are available on a first-come, first-served walk in basis. The Library will hold a pass for 1 hour if it is available and requested over the phone (no phone messages or emails please). Please call the Circulation Desk at (914) 232-3508 to inquire about availability of a particular pass.
- To pick up a pass, patrons must be 18 years and older (proof required).
- Passes must be returned in person to the circulation desk during library hours. Passes may not be returned in the book drop. There will be a fine of $5 for passes left in the book drop.
- Lost Pass: Individual pass subject to replacement cost.
- The maximum loan periods for passes is three days: One day to check out the pass, one day to visit the museum and one day to return the pass.
- A fee of $10.00 will be charged each day the pass is late.
