AUGUST 12TH ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS

The winners of the Katonah Village Library's summer photography contest, "Water, Water Everywhere" have been selected. The winning photographs will be on display at the 1st floor entrance to the library. Winners and honorable mentions will each receive a prize. Please drop by the library and talk to the Children's Librarian or Teen Librarian.

"The children and teenagers submitted wonderful pictures and it was very difficult to chose the winners," said Teen Librarian Pat Humphreys.

Photographs of landscapes, swimming, oceans, lakes, ponds, and flower petals and leaves covered in water droplets were submitted between June 28th and August 6th.

"We are very impressed with the quality of the photographs we received," said Children's Librarian Vicki Ingrassia. "The subject matter and creative use of water were really excellent."

RULES

Choose any subject and have water anywhere in the picture. It can be a beautiful landscape, a still life or even a portrait (with a drop of water).

Pictures may be submitted in print and/or JPEG format with the photographer’s name, age & telephone number to the Childrens or Teen Librarian between June 28^th and August 6^th.  Send JPEGs to katref@wlsmail.org.  

There will be three Winners in each age category. 

Winners will be announced on August 12^th.  Lots of Prizes!

Only 1 entry per person.  The categories are:

v   Children’s (11 years old and younger)

v   Middle Teen ( 12-14 years old)

v      Senior Teen (15-18 years old)

 All submitted pictures will be placed on the library’s website.   

Winning pictures will be displayed in library & on the library’s website.
