DVD’s and Music

Located on the Main floor, the KVL music collection has a wide assortment of music CDs. Thousands of titles including classical, jazz, folk, Broadway, big band, popular, country and international selections are available.  We also have a very unique and large selection of music CD’s in Russian. Remember our audio collection is not limited to CD’s. The collection includes books, magazines, sound recordings, music scores, libretti, electronic databases, and streaming audio and visual media. Can’t find it here? Why not try an interlibrary loan?

Our computers are equipped with selected electronic resources that allow for the downloading of music and audio books to a patron’s I-Pod or MP3 compatible device, including iPhone® and MP3 music-enabled mobile phones.

KVL has an eclectic DVD collection of popular movies, documentaries, television programs, and different self-help topics. In addition, KVL is very proud of the large number of independent and foreign films in the collection.

Anyone with a valid library card may borrow DVD’s or CD’s. There is a limit of 20 DVD’s per patron per card. DVD’s and Videos are loaned for 7 days. There is a $2.00 charge for each day a DVD or video is overdue. DVD’s and videos may be renewed once for an additional 7 days (per renewal), by telephone, in person or on the internet via your patron account, if not on reserve.  All DVD’s and videos are inspected before being shelved. If a DVD or video appears damaged, please notify the library; do not attempt to use it. If a DVD or video is damaged while on loan, the borrower will be charged for the replacement cost. The library is not responsible for any damage that might occur to your DVD player or videocassette player when using materials borrowed from the library.
